Ted Oliver

Ted Oliver is the Athletic Director for the Academy. He also coaches the girls’ basketball and boys’ tennis teams.   In addition to those duties he also teaches upper school math. Mr. Oliver received a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University. Ted worked with IBM for 26 years. Before joining the Academy in 2008, he taught and coached at two other Christian schools for 13 years. He and his wife Betty are the proud parents of 3 children, who have blessed them with 9 grandchildren. The Olivers are active members at First Bible Church of Decatur. In his spare time he enjoys hiking, motorcycle riding, and fishing. His favorite Bible verse is Galatians 6:14.
