Julie Cook

 

Julie Cook teaches music for Kindergarten through 6th Grade at the Academy.  She grew up in Huntsville, AL.  Mrs. Cook has a Master’s in Music Education from Samford University.  She is a licensed Kindermusik Educator, and holds Orff-Schulwerk Certification, Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, and World Music Drumming Level 1.  Prior to joining the staff at Whitesburg Christian Academy in 2002, Mrs. Cook taught in the Huntsville City Schools system for 11 years as an elementary music teacher, middle school choral director, and math teacher.  She and her husband, Wendell, are the parents of two children.  Mrs. Cook is an active member at Whitesburg Baptist Church, where she serves as the children’s choir coordinator.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading and scrapbooking.  Her favorite Bible verses are Proverbs 3: 5-6.
