Mary Beth Byrd

Mary Beth Byrd is the school nurse at the Academy.  She grew up in Athens, AL.  Mary Beth has a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Alabama Huntsville.  Prior to joining the Academy in 2009, Mrs. Byrd worked as a cardiac medical nurse in the CCU at Huntsville Hospital, as a lab nurse in the Heart Catheterization Lab at Mobile Infirmary, and the lab manager at the heart stress lab at Cardiology Associates in Mobile, AL.  She and her husband, Jim, are the parents of two children, Maddie and William.  They are active members at Southwood Presbyterian Church, where Mary Beth serves as a Sunday morning greeter.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, exercising, traveling, Bible study, and spending time with family.  Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11.
