Dave McConnell

Dave McConnell, Jr., is the Middle and Upper School physical education teacher.  He also teaches science classes for the upper school at the Academy.  He was born and grew up in Des Moines, Iowa.  He has a Bachelor’s in Business Management from Iowa State University and a teaching certification from Simpson College.  Prior to joining the staff at Whitesburg Christian Academy in 2009, Dave worked in the business field and taught and coached in several school districts in Iowa.  He is an active member at Willowbrook Baptist Church.  In his spare time, Mr. McConnell likes to be active in the outdoors, play almost any sport, and hike.  One of his favorite Bible verses is Psalm 37:4.
