Fine Arts

Whitesburg Christian Academy believes that fine arts are an essential part of a well-rounded education in the classical approach.  For that reason, we offer art and music classes from the earliest level of grammar school.  In upper grammar school, students can choose an instrument and participate in band.  Members of the band have the option of competing in district and state-level competitions on an individual or ensemble basis.  In middle school, a dual music track is offered ( band or choir), which students can continue through upper school.  Other musical areas to participate in include:  small ensemble, concert band, jazz band, and praise band.  Drama classes are offered beginning in middle school, and an extra-curricular play is presented each spring.  Whenever possible, the talents of our students are incorporated into weekly chapel services and other programs.  The fine arts curriculum at the Academy continues to grow as we find creative outlets for the God-given artistic gifts and expressions of our servant leaders.
